Leucillin Supports Humanimal Trust at Parliament – April 2026
Leucillin was proud to support Humanimal Trust at its Parliamentary Reception on 14 April 2026, bringing the One Medicine approach to the heart of Westminster.
Hosted by vet and Liberal Democrat MP Dr Danny Chambers, the event brought together politicians, clinicians, researchers and industry leaders to discuss how closer collaboration between human and veterinary medicine could benefit both people and animals.
Founded by Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, Humanimal Trust champions a future where human and animal medical professionals work together to advance healthcare for every species.
The Parliamentary Reception focused on the need to modernise medicines regulation, particularly through dual licensing. This would allow medicines to be approved for both humans and animals where appropriate, reducing unnecessary duplication and helping ensure that medical advances can benefit both.
Speakers included Professor Noel Fitzpatrick, Dr Danny Chambers MP, Dr Scott McRae and Alan Bashforth, Director of Leucillin. The discussion highlighted opportunities for greater collaboration in areas including cancer, infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance.

At Leucillin, we believe that improving animal health and welfare requires collaboration, innovation and a willingness to challenge established ways of thinking.
Our support for Humanimal Trust reflects our commitment to a future where medical progress benefits humans and animals alike, without unnecessary barriers between the two fields.
The event marked an important step in bringing One Medicine further into the policy conversation, with continued engagement needed to turn these ambitions into meaningful change.
We are proud to support Humanimal Trust and its work towards a future where better healthcare benefits every species.
